Flood Lights

Flood lights are high-intensity lights, that provide maximum light output, allowing you to illuminate areas such as gardens, pathways, drives and car parks just to name a few. There are several forms of flood lights including, sodium, metal halide and Led floods. It’s not just home owners who rely on exterior flood lights, many businesses also require strongly on having a powerful light strongly distributed around their premises. Many flood lights are used as security lights and are often found with pirs installed complete on the units, whilst on occasions they are also installed in-line with a separate pir, this allows the flood to illuminate when somebody is within close proximity of the area which it is installed.

When selecting a flood light for your exterior area, it is necessary you consider what light level you require and where the light is due to be installed. It may upset your neighbours if an intense light is angled at their property. Led floods tend to be the most popular at the moment as they throw out a powerful light, whilst using a fraction of the wattage of the lights output. For example a 20WT flood can produce the equivalent output of a 200WT halogen flood.

They also light to their maximum instantly, which is hugely important if being used as a security light. We understand it can be quite difficult choosing what light level you require, why not ask us? Our sales team would be more than happy to help. We’ve been established since 1947, we have a wealth of experience to offer!
